Twisted Design & Deliver Uber’s New Technological EMEA Headquarters

Over the past decade, Twisted’s collaboration with Uber has evolved and strengthened. Initially, brought on to provide support on smart-hands and active IT projects across EMEA, Twisted now provides multiple services to this trailblazing company, including design, concept development and deployment, working closely with Uber’s Global Build Team.

So, when in 2020, Uber wanted to create an exciting new EMEA Headquarters in Amsterdam, Twisted were to play a pivotal role in its realisation. Uber’s primary objective was to create a cutting-edge hub for its EMEA operations, bringing together disparate teams from across the city into a single location. The facility would offer a diverse range of workspaces tailored to different work styles, all with technology at the core. The design was to deliver the “wow” factor and ensure that visitors left with a memorable first impression.

The Outcome

Over the period of 12 months, the Twisted team deployed and delivered the entire project creating a brand new technological hub for Uber.

The headquarters are spilt over two buildings, incorporating old and new into this modernised workplace design. The headquarters are split over 11 floors with 3.5km Fibre Optic Cable and 6km of copper cable was installed to provide the backbone for their network connectivity.

The summit space is made of 3 divisible rooms with a large Samsung LED wall in each space. Opened out, it creates this visual wall for individuals to enjoy. There are Renkus-Heinz speakers, a Barco video wall processor, Logitech and Panasonic cameras, Shure and Biamp microphones and Zeevee for AVOIP.

Each of the meeting rooms was fitted with LG screens, Neat bars and DTEN, with the larger meeting rooms containing a large DTEN with Biamp, a Neat pad for control and a Logitech Tap for making room bookings.

Client Testimonial

“With the Dublin job we had decided to use another provider initially but they fell through, TwistedPair came through and saved our asses!

We choose TwistedPair as their availability to work around the EMEA is great, and they really seem to care about what they do.”
