So when it came to the specification of its own flagship facility in the Middle East, it knew the importance of a robust technological solution that wouldn’t just enable but actively empower its team.
The responsibility for realising this customer’s vision for Jumeirah Lake Towers in Dubai was awarded to project management company Facilitate Corporation. And, after a competitive tender process, Twisted was selected as its technological partner of choice, thanks to an
impressive track record deploying enterprise-scale technology projects across EMEA and APAC. The result is a solution that strikes a blow for the advantages of technology-enabled collaboration and the crucial role it plays in attracting and retaining talent, and promoting empowerment in the workplace.

The Brief
The project involved the comprehensive refurbishment of a single floor in Jumeirah Lake Towers to include a mix of internal and externally-facing meeting rooms, as well as an event space for corporate functions.
The central requirement was to create a high-tech environment that aligned with the customers’ core value of promoting empowerment and authenticity in the workplace. Technology would be deployed to optimise individual performance, strengthen team collaboration and communication, and help attract the region’s top talent.
The Solution
Twisted’s Design Team collaborated with UBER IT to develop the SCS design using the Global Infrastructure standards. 3864 Category 6a Outlets were installed across 9 floors and the following cabling was used:
- Over 250km of Panduit Category 6a Vari-Matrix Cable (Put into context, this is long enough to run a cable from Amsterdam–Rotterdam twice!)
- 3.5km of OS2 Fibre Optic Cable
- 300km of Category 6a Copper Cable This was installed to provide the backbone network connectivity between the MDF and IDFs.
The Outcome
Thanks to Twisted’s technological expertise, the customers’ staff can now choose from a range of hi-tech meeting room configurations:
from the 4 person rooms with their 50” Samsung displays, Poly X30 video conferencing and TC8 touch panels; the flexible meeting rooms, a technological step-up with their 65” displays and Poly X50s; through to the impressive boardroom and ideas room with its dual 75” displays, Poly X70 and TC8 touch panel.
iPads mounted outside each room provide an intuitive room booking solution. The central event space features a stunning 2×2 55” Samsung video wall, with a ZeeVee HDMI
decoder mounted behind, a Poly G7500 video conferencing system and dual PTZ camera for speaker and audience view, something that’s essential for company all hands, events and presentations.
Professional-grade audio, with handheld and headmic options, is delivered through a Sennheiser system with a QSC core processor and control panel. In addition to the main event space, a ZeeVee AV over IP solution provides a relay into the overflow spaces, ensuring that the audiovisual experience isn’t compromised, even if demand exceeds capacity.
