Flexible, High-Tech Meeting & Event Spaces for a confidential financial client.
Twisted collaborated on a £1.8 million consultant-led project for a financial client’s London HQ, delivering a sophisticated, flexible AV solution across a variety of meeting and event spaces. The goal: create a technology-forward workplace that would offer intuitive usability for everyday meetings while supporting large-scale events and adaptable room configurations.
The Brief
The site consisted of a large number of standalone meeting spaces of varying sizes, all utilising Cisco VC systems running in MTR mode. Larger rooms integrated Crestron video transport and Q-SYS audio, while a centralised Mediastar IPTV system provided live content throughout open spaces and meeting rooms. The brief also called for advanced, multi-purpose spaces capable of transforming for different functions – from board meetings to town halls, all with seamless, user-friendly control.
The Solution
At the heart of the project were three standout multi-purpose areas:
- One 3-way divisible space
- One 2-way divisible space
- A multi-purpose café/event space
These were powered by a custom HTML5-based Crestron control system, designed and programmed in-house for an intuitive, modern user experience. Each space featured:
- ViewSonic foldable LED displays for flexible room layouts
- Crestron NVX video and USB transport
- QSC and Sennheiser audio solutions
- Ampetronic assisted hearing loops
- Cisco video conferencing with multiple camera locations for complete coverage
- IPTV integration from the centralised Mediastar system, controlled via Apple iPads
The Outcome
The result is a collection of high-performance, future-proofed spaces that can quickly adapt to the needs of the clients teams. From daily meetings to large-scale events, users benefit from simple, intuitive control while technical teams enjoy the flexibility and robustness of the underlying systems. This project was a true team effort, with Twisted’s in-house specialists from project management to programming, commissioning, and engineering – ensuring a smooth delivery and exceptional final product.
